EDIT : I think my mind was seeing what it wanted to see. I realized not too long ago that the heels are strips of different-colored leather, NOT such shiny shiny gold that the reflection exploded where the light hit on the back. ooooops. Don’t like them so much anymore. Still pretty though.

When I saw the caption: “French commuters wait for a train in Paris during a nationwide strike.” my gut instinct was, “That’s the L at Bedford every single morning.” Realizing that this may be extreme for Paris, though (as something routine probably doesn’t make it as the main image of a news email), I asked my friend Alex (who is originally from Paris) about the train platforms over there. She told me that platforms aren’t usually very crowded at all in Paris; this transit strike must have been quite the ordeal. My sympathies.
