There are four things you have to do in life:

Show up.

Speak the truth.

Do what you do with intensity.

And do not get attached to the results.

The best book.: Not being near my bank’s branch – or wanting to pay a withdrawal – meant that I had to buy more than just a birthday card at Spoonbill & Sugartown. Boy did I make the perfect choice!

Everything is amazing and nobody is happy.

A few very uplifting minutes of Louis C.K. on Conan. He’s ranting about how we take things for granted since the world is advancing at such a rapid and mostly-efficient rate. For example: One anecdote is about a guy sitting next to him on a flight who remarked “This is bullshit” when the in-flight Internet momentarily failed. “How quickly the world owes him something he knew existed only ten seconds ago.” “We live in an amazing, amazing world, and it’s wasted on the crappiest generation of spoiled idiots who don’t care.

I know it may sound cynical up to this point (if you haven’t watched it), but seeing him sound so excited about how amazing it is to sit in a chair in the sky and get from NY to L.A. in 5 hours was just fantastic.
