I woke up to a Facebook wall posting from my friend Lauren:
three words you will probably not like:justice. cadillac commercial.
Here it is. It’s my favorite Justice song, too. I have a question for anyone who might know (other than “WHY did they accept money from an American car brand for this???”):
NBC maybe learned their lesson when they yanked that cupcake song off of YouTube because it “belonged to them” (no wait wait wait, maybe they didn’t). Anyway… I have seen this quite a few times by now on YouTube: “Embedding disabled upon request.” Why? Embedding a YouTube video provides the option to click and then see that Cadillac uploaded the video. Let’s say someone actually likes this TV spot. Why wouldn’t Cadillac want them sharing the video with each other, posting it on their blogs or MySpace pages? I’m confused. Let’s say they don’t want people who hate it posting it and then flaming away. They can still link to it, like I just did here.
Anybody?
