I read the newspaper, looked at the Travel section and saw a readers report on the cherry blossoms in Kyoto … the blossoms are in bloom for only 14 days in early April, right when you’re going, right? … they say that some favorite spots to see them in and around Kyoto is the Maruyama Park (featuring a large weeping cherry tree that is lit up at night) and the Philosopher’s Trail (sounds very intellectual :)) which is apparently lined with hundreds of trees …
